Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav has said his party won’t allow the debate on reservation in promotion bill in Lok Sabha. He said his party will strongly oppose the bill even if SP MPs were expelled from the House.
It was also in response to BSP chief Mayawati, who has accused the UPA government of stalling the bill’s passage.
Mulayam said SP had made its stand clear since the bill was tabled in the monsoon session. “We will not allow it to be passed by Lok Sabha. Those in favour will be taught a lesson in the 2014 elections.”
The SP chief said the bill, if passed, will lead to chaos in government departments.
