Somewhere in Madhya Pradesh....

In the third instance of poaching since November, a partly decomposed and skinned carcass of a tiger was found in the forest of Umaria, around 25 km from Bandhavgarh tiger reserve.
Killed on the night of December 7-8, the big cat fell into an electrical trap – a wire drawn from the 440 KV service line pegged to a wooden pole. Even as wildlife activists are enraged by this total failure of the government to curb tiger killings.
In November, a tigress was electrocuted in Barhi forest area of Katni after she came in contact with an electric trap.
