Kejriwal kontinues....

Activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal targeted BJP President Nitin Gadkari, accusing him of “colluding” with the Maharashtra government, particularly NCP leader and former irrigation minister Ajit Pawar, to allegedly corner 100 acres of agricultural land acquired from farmers in Maharashtra.
The allegation met a vigorous response from BJP, which fielded its top leaders, Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj, to defend its national president. They strongly denied the allegations, with Jaitley claiming that Kejriwal’s actions had “damaged civil society” and that he was like a “hitman who had scored a same-side goal”.
Kejriwal, who addressed a press conference along with a group of anti-corruption activists, used the occasion to press home what has become a theme of India Against Corruption — the organisation run by Kejriwal — that the country’s main political parties share a cosy relationship where they further each other’s business and political interests.
“Salman Khurshid, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Sharad Yadav, Sonia Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati are members of one parivar,” Kejriwal alleged to raucous applause from the assembled IAC activists.
Though there had been a huge build-up to Kejriwal’s promised expose — the entire spectacle was telecast live on national broadcast networks — the activist turned-politician mostly recounted charges related to the alleged irrigation scam in Maharashtra.
Kejriwal alleged that vast tracts of land were acquired from farmers for building a dam in Umred taluka in Nagpur district and excess land that, according to him, should have been returned to the farmers was given to Gadkari’s company following Pawar’s intervention.
Last month, Pawar, who is the nephew of Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar had resigned.

BJP leaders Swaraj and Jaitley termed the Kejriwal expose as a “dud bomb”. “Lot of hype was created about the press conference as if some big bomb is being exploded... He (Kejriwal) tried his best to dig out some scam but could not find anything,” said Swaraj, leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha. “We are happy that our national president is not involved in any illegality. The party is fully with him,” she said. Dubbing Kejriwal's press conference “just like an election rally”, Swaraj said, “We will fight politically. We won't go for defamation suit.”
