India-born author Salman Rushdie and Indian-Canadian film maker Deepa Mehta will collaborate to produce a movie based on Rushdie’s prize winning novel ‘Midnight’s Children’.
The cast is still undecided, but Shabana Azmi and Nandita Das are supposed to have major roles in the movie. Rushdie and Mehta will write the screenplay. The movie is expected to be released in 2010. The work on it will start next year.
