Mahagenco Will Produce Extra 7,500 MW In Five Years

Maharashtra's Energy minister Dilip Walse-Patil said that the state will have enough electricity by 2012 and that the generation company will have its own projects to produce about 7,500 MW power in the next five years, besides power coming from private projects and the central sector. In the next five years we will have our own projects/expansions at Khaparkheda, Bhusawal, Chandrapur, Uran, Parali, and Koradi. It takes about six years for completion of a project.”
