Pune:Work on Dehu ROB to begin soon

The construction of an additional railway overbridge at Dehu Road is likely to begin within a month’s time. The railways have completed the process of inviting tenders for the work.Union defence minister A.K. Antony gave the ministry’s consent for the construction on May 8. The project will cost Rs 5 crore. The need for an additional bridge at Dehu road has been felt for several years as the existing bridge, a part of the Mumbai-Pune highway, is very narrow. Frequent traffic jams are witnessed on the highway as only one vehicle can pass on the bridge at a time.
