The Infosys Pune campus with 18,300 employees is slowly but surely catching up with its 23,000-strong Bangalore counterpart. It is probably a matter of time before it overtakes Bangalore in terms of manpower, said chairman and chief mentor, Infosys Technologies Ltd, NR Narayana Murthy. Calling Pune the city closest to his heart, even more than hometown Mysore, Murthy also took a trip down memory lane recalling the three years he spent here, his courtship days with wife Sudha and the starting of Infosys in their modest Model Colony apartment.
