There has been a lot of discussion on creating new states from the larger ones:Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh. I personally think smaller states are good for India. Most of the smaller states have done exceedilngly well. Punjab,Haryana,Gujarat,Goa to name a few. Growth would happen at a faster pace and cover those areas that currently lag behind.The TRS did not do well in the recent by-elections I guess due to them calling for an un necessary election.
