I have set out to compile some information ,a kind of a web -scrapbook on the days and times in the life of India as she ponders along from her 60th Birthday in 2007 to her 75th Birthday in 2022.Hopefully,in the process would also like to capture the mood of the nation and us the common people or aam aadmi .Twenty22 stands for the year 2022 when India will be 75 years old,hence the name.Ofcourse it is very similar to the new format of cricket that has taken India by storm Twenty20.
I would like to cover some part of India's Tryst with Destiny which began on 15th August 1947.From a glorious past to a glorious future....I am kind of jotting down the present.
Will this century be one that belongs to India? Will we achieve our potential? Will we build our infrastructure and be on par with the rest of the world? What will be the pace of growth that we achieve? How many more companies will India Inc acquire? Will it truly be India Everywhere?Will the Indo-US Nuclear Deal finally get done? What impact with the third oil shock have on us as a nation?..Oil is already around USD 135/barrel.
How many Governments will we have during this period? Will all the big plans that get spoken about actually get executed?
On the day that Virgin Radio,London was bought by the Times Of India group and on which the finals of the first edition of the immensely successful Indian Premier League takes place in Mumbai between the Rajasthan Royals and the Chennai Super Kings,this journey continues.....
